Israeli Wine

Israeli Wine

2018 Clos de Gat GSM. ("Gat" means "wine press" in Hebrew and "Sycra" means "bright red" in Aramaic.) Nancy re-gifted to me. Her vendor at work gave it to her. He is Israeli and he was called up by the IDF before she gave it to me. Tabletop is the reverse side of alligator-like material. Background is red poster board lit by a tube light positioned beneath the tabletop. Small lamp fitted with a diffusion sock to reduce its brightness immediately above the camera evenly lit the shiny parts of the bottle's label. Another small lamp on the right also fitted with a diffusion sock to reduce brightness shined through a sheet of translucent vellum to add the reflection to the right side of the bottle. Black flag prevented light from that lamp from falling on the background. Lighting was changed somewhat in two subsequent captures to achieve the desired appearance of the foil and label. The foil and label from those two image files were moved to the first image file to complete the composite. Ten focus-bracketed images at Nikon step size 3 were stacked in Helicon Focus at default settings for all three captures. The red dried flowers were included with the wine.
